Logo re-design
The top image is the new logo design. The bottom image is the old logo design.
The client wanted to have a more modern, updated identity to reflect the renovated gallery space and artwork for sale and on display. It was also necessary to maintain use of the silhouetted image which holds great personal meaning to the origins of the gallery.
My goal was to simplify the design as much as possible, without losing meaning from the original logo. I chose Century Gothic for the logo typeface and tagline. I altered the “C” in “NANCE” to more fully expose the stems of the letter from behind the silhouetted image.
